In today's lesson we are studing from Romans chapter 6. We see Paul talking to the Romans about the privileges of being freed from sin and how we should not abuse these privilages. Paul tell us that we should not take for granted , that just because we have been freed from sin, is ok that we do what we want. We see that this is not so. WE cannot live any kind of way that we choose and continue to live free from sin. Paul tell us that we were baptized into Jesus Christ, which means that were also buried in his death. This means that when Jesus died for us all our sins died with him; But when he was risen from the grave by GOD , we also were risen from the grave a new creature . We find that now that this has happen we must continue to die daily to the flesh. Daily Dying is one of many thing s that must be done in order to stay free from sin and stay saved. We must learn how to resist sin in any way ,shape or form. GOD insist that we not yeild to sin and that we not go back to sin or darkness.Paul , also tells us that once we have been made free from sin that we are no longer servants of sin, but we have become servants of GOD. Paul lets us know in no certain terms that life and death cannot and will not live together in the same body or temple. Also, he tells us that we were freed unto holiness and everlasting life. Paul goes on to say ; The new life we have now did not come easy or cheap, it was bought with the most valuable gift to man JesusChrist. I know some of you are say " What does this have to do with me? I say to you everthing the cost of you very soul. Paul reminds us of this in Romans 6:23; For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ ou lord. Simply put that we owe GOD and Jesus for our gift of eternal life.We must pay with our soul. So my brother, it is easy to live free from sin . I say to you now if you have not accepted Jesus as your personal savior you can do so right now, whether you are in your home, car at work, or where ever you may be reading this lesson |
